The Story behind The Hearing Place
The seed for The Hearing Place was planted in 2015, when Paula’s esteemed mentor, who also served as a father figure in her audiology journey offered her his practice.
Despite eight years of learning from him, Paula realized it wasn’t the right time or path for her just yet. Instead, she took on a managerial role at Costco in Waterloo, where she spent five years building a fantastic team in the heart of a busy warehouse.
In 2020, Paula and her family relocated to London. She went to work for a family-owned clinic, Beck Hearing Aid Centre, where she crossed paths with Rayah. Rayah was just starting out her career as a hearing instrument specialist and welcomed Paula’s mentorship.
After three years of working together, Rayah decided to go back to school for business to understand the other side of the hearing healthcare industry in 2023. In 2024, Paula and Rayah reconnected again and decided to start their own practice. Driven by a shared commitment to patient well-being - THE HEARING PLACE was born.
They both believe in treating every patient with respect and kindness, always striving to provide the best service that is both ethical and evidence based. The Hearing Place is a place where clients feel heard, supported, and cared for.
